Who is eligible, and what are the criteria for admission to retirement living?
Applicants to retirement living must be 60 years of age or older. For married couples, one spouse needs to be 60 and the other at least 55. The criteria are based on the applicant's ability to meet requirements of tenancy, maintain health and safety, and meet the financial requirements. For additional eligibility requirements, see the Admissions Policy or call the Marketing Office at (800) 676-6452.
How old must I be to place my name on the priority list?
If you are between the ages of 55 and 59, you may place your name on the pre-age qualified list. Those on the pre-age qualified list automatically will be placed on the priority list for the accommodation.
What happens to my monthly fee if I someday move to the Star Points Building or Valley Care Masonic Center?
Since the Masonic Village at Sewickley is a type "A" lifecare community, monthly fees continue at the same rate. This provides the ultimate protection from assets being depleted in a long-term care situation. There may be additional ancillary care and services charges, depending on residents' levels of need.
If my spouse has to enter the assisted living or nursing services area, may I downsize to a smaller unit?
Yes. Based upon availability, residents may always change locations. In the case of one spouse moving to assisted living or nursing, the monthly fee will remain as is for both. If a resident downsizes for reasons unrelated to a move to the assisted living or nursing area, the fee is adjusted accordingly.
Are pets allowed in retirement living?
Yes. Pets are permitted within the resident handbook guidelines.
What if I am unable to pay my monthly fee?
If residents become unable to meet their fees due to circumstances beyond their control, they will not be required to leave the Masonic Village at Sewickley based solely on their financial status, as specified in the Resident Agreement.
Will the transportation system take me off campus?

Are there garages available for apartment residents?
