Masonic Village Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday
|
Katherine H. Romito, a resident of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown,
Pa., will
celebrate her 100th birthday on December 22. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa.,
Mrs.
Romito taught voice and sang with the Pittsburgh Opera. She played Carmen in
the
company's production of Carmen in the 1930's.
She reads her Bible daily and can be found on Sundays cheering on her
favorite
team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Her faith in God continually keeps her young at heart. "God takes care
of me. I ask
Him to help me when I run up against something, and He does!" she says.
