Elizabethtown Residents Host Employee Appreciation Dinner

On August 14, the Retirement Living Residents' Association and the Residential Council sponsored an Employee Appreciation Dinner for Elizabethtown employees in the Brossman Ballroom. More than 400 employees and their guests attended the event.
The "Hats Off, You're the Tops" event was emceed by retirement living resident Harold H. Hardy, Jr. and featured songs; jokes; a poem written by resident Jody Darrow and read by residents Ed Allen (president of the Retirement Living Residents' Association), Pearl Good, Dot Lower, Angie MacIntire, Doris Gotsch, Howard Wittel, Carolyn Wright, Ray Barber, Jane Boltz and Bro. Hardy; a performance by the Men's Chorus; a delicious dinner; and entertainment by comedian Randy Riggle, who has opened for Jerry Seinfeld. Resident Elaine Bleiler handcrafted the party favors to coordinate with the "Hats Off" theme.
At the end of the evening, numerous employees won door prizes, including items made by the Rooster's Corner and the Craft Club.
The appreciation evening was funded and organized by residents.
