Services for Seniors Presentation
|
Seniors' options for home and community services, levels of care and financing of long term care can be difficult to navigate. Debra Brockman, outreach director, and Claudia Stephens, director of admissions and resident services at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, will be presenting information and resources to assist seniors and their families with decision-making through the Greater Elizabethtown Area Recreation and Community Services (GEARS) on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The presentation will take place in the GEARS Recreation Room #1 at Elizabethtown Area Middle School, 600 E. High St. There is no cost. Registration will continue until the class is full (20 openings). To register, call GEARS at 367-0355, or register online at http://activenet2.active.com/gears.
At the presentation, individuals will learn about programs and services designed to assist seniors who want to remain living in their homes or those who are considering a more structured environment, such as a retirement community, assisted living facility, adult day care or skilled nursing center. Methods of financing long term care will also be discussed. This is an interactive session, so individuals are encouraged to ask questions.
