SYCAMORE SQUARE PROJECT MOVES FORWARD
|
At the Elizabethtown Borough Council meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21, the Masonic Village was granted Unconditional Preliminary Plan Approval and Conditional Final Plan approval for the Sycamore Square project, which includes the marketplace planned for the site adjacent to the Elizabethtown Railroad, as well as the construction of two adjacent retirement living apartment buildings.
Consisting of four existing buildings that will be renovated, as well as four new buildings to be built, the marketplace will feature a variety of businesses, such as retail shops, a restaurant, bank and other similar commercial and retail tenants. The site work on the project has already begun.
The council also granted Conditional Use Approval for the two apartment buildings, which was required by the provisions of the new mixed-use zoning district in which the apartments will be located. The first apartment will consist of 66 units and the second will be comprised of 60 units, available in five different floor plans. Construction on the apartments will begin in September.
