Earl and Josephine Sieling celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on
October 14 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pa. They were married in
1939
in Philadelphia, where they first met at a church social.
Mr. Sieling worked for 43 years at Western Electric Company and Mrs. Sieling
worked in interior decorating, both in Philadelphia.
They were active in Paupack Methodist Church in Paupack, Pa. Mr. Sieling
served
on the board of directors and Mrs. Sieling sang in the choir. Mr. Sieling is
a member
of the Abraham C. Treichler Masonic Lodge No. 682 and is also involved with
the Shriners. He also taught first aid to Boy Scouts for 40 years.
Mrs. Sieling directed school plays and chorus.
The Sielings have one son, Ronald, of Philadelphia, Pa., three
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Their secret for a happy marriage is to "always be honest and keep no
secrets."
