Warminster resident Phil Nelson feeds the rabbits.

"I always like to keep busy, and I love animals," was Warminster resident Phil Nelson's response when asked why he became a volunteer at the home. Bro. Nelson takes care of the facility's pet rabbits, which are part of the Eden Alternative^TM program.

Bro. Nelson moved to the Masonic Village at Warminster in November 2003. He is a career military man, having served in both the Army and Air Force prior to retirement. A widower, he is the father of five sons and two daughters.

Bro. Nelson previously volunteered as a coach for various sports teams in which his children participated. Now, he enjoys volunteering to take care of the rabbits, adding that he always had them as pets when he was a child.
