Masonic Village at Elizabethtown has been selected to receive the 2004 Community Service Award from the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). Masonic Village is recognized for extensive services to the community through positive relationships with the Elizabethtown Area School District and numerous community groups.

Masonic Village makes its facilities available to the school district and awards scholarships to teen volunteers, hosts the school's prom, provides tutoring and mentoring and opens its pool to swim teams. Music therapy services and fitness classes also are extended to the community.

Joseph E. Murphy, Chief Executive Officer, will accept the award at AAHSA's Annual Meeting and Exposition, taking place October 25-28 in Nashville, Tenn.
