Masonic Village Resident Celebrates 100th Birthday
|
Mrs. Edna G. Shmith, a resident of Masonic Village at
Elizabethtown, will celebrate her 100th birthday on Sept. 2.
A native of Chester, Pa., Mrs. Shmith worked as a head nurse for 30
years at Scott Paper in Chester. She married her late husband, Henry, in 1970.
Many of her own art creations adorn her home. Mrs. Shmith still
enjoys painting and doing needlework. An avid reader, she likes books on
any topic or genre.
Her advice for longevity: "work hard and get plenty of rest."
