New Golf Retirement Community Planned for Dallas

The Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, which owns and operates four Masonic Villages across the state, plans to build its fifth retirement community on the grounds of the Irem Country Club in Dallas, Pa. The fraternal organization's existing not-for-profit retirement communities are located in Elizabethtown, Lafayette Hill, Sewickley and Warminster, Pa. The first community was founded in 1871.

The Grand Lodge's first golf retirement community, Masonic Village at Dallas would initially consist of 59 apartments and 38 cottage homes, pending approval by governmental authorities. The floor plans and options would vary, such as one and two-bedroom apartments with a balcony and two-bedroom apartments with two baths and a balcony. The cottages would portray the look and style of a neighborhood and offer two bedrooms in various layouts, each with a one-car garage.

The Masonic Village at Dallas will seek to partner with regional healthcare providers to guarantee its residents preferred access to assisted living and nursing services, should they need care. Masonic Village residents would also receive priority access to services at any of the Masonic Village healthcare facilities across the state.

Pending approvals by governmental authorities, the project could break ground in spring 2006. The organization is seeking an administrator and an administrative assistant for the community.

The Masonic Village marketing office is accepting reservations for a marketing presentation on Wed, April 20. Anyone interested in attending may call 1-800-676-6452.
