Masonic Village Resident Celebrates 101st Birthday

Roberta "Roe" Alexander, a resident of the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, Pa., will celebrate her 101st birthday on Feb. 15. A native of Marietta, Pa., Mrs. Alexander is a retired civilian Air Force personnel secretary.

She and her late husband, Charles, lived in Harrisburg and were fond of traveling throughout the United States. They had one son, Felton.

Her hobbies included rollerskating and playing tennis and cards. She enjoyed cooking and hosting dinner parties and summer barbeques for her family and friends.

Mrs. Alexander was active in her church, teaching Sunday school and being a mentor to children. She was known to open her home to care for and counsel troubled youth.

She also was a caregiver for her mother until her death.

Her love for cars, especially Cadillacs, kept her at the wheel until age 90.
