The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania
Borrowing privileges are extended only to Pennsylvania Masons.
On June 7, 1871, the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of
Pennsylvania established a Masonic Library in the Masonic Hall,
Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. Since that date the Library has enjoyed
a growth and patronage that distinguishes it as one of the great collections
of Masonic books, manuscripts and documents.
In 1908, the equally famous and unique Museum was established.
The rare collection in The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania
has made Grand Lodge into an excellent Masonic research center.
One of the features of The Masonic
Library and Museum of Pennsylvania has been the Circulating Library, established in 1952.
This service was designed to promote Masonic education and inspiration by
the dissemination of Masonic literature among the members of lodges in the
Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania.
