| Disaster Relief | |
|
There have been many questions regarding possible assistance to the disasters in Haiti, New Zealand and Japan, and most recently the flooding in the midwest.
Current appeals are always listed on the website of the Masonic Service Association. If a Lodge, or its members, are interested in contributing to assist in the relief, this may be accomplished through the Masonic Service Association. All of the money collected (100%) is transferred to the Grand Lodges in those areas for use in support of long-term disaster relief. The Masonic Service Association's Disaster Relief efforts focus more on rebuilding than emergency relief. It is an excellent program and has earned the confidence of every Grand Lodge in North America. A review of its history of disaster relief can be seen at http://www.msana.com/msadisasterrelief.asp Please make checks payable to "MSA Disaster Relief Fund" and send them to: MSA Disaster Relief Fund 8120 Fenton Street, Ste. 203 Silver Spring, MD 20910-4785 If you have any questions about their program, please review the current appeal listed on their website at http://www.msana.com/msappeals.asp and feel free to contact Mr. George O. Braatz at the Masonic Service Association at (301) 588-4010. |
