I am intrigued by the existence of freemasonry, i find it unique and held secure in an extreme historic platform. I have read a collection of sources regarding the practices of this group and it appeals to me. If anyone has additional information, feel free to bring it to my attention

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved former farther-in-law Charles W. Twesten who passed on Friday, February 5th at the Masonic Home at Lafayette Hill, PA. I am eternally grateful for the kindness and care provided to him and his wife by our Brotherhood. Could we only understand it as we shall some distant day we would see that he who knew us knew our needs along the way. Such it was with Dad. He was with those who understood and knew his needs. My eternal thanks to all at Lafayette Hill for your kindness and caring for Charles and Inez...

I will be 74 next month. Having been raised on the 18th of December 2009, I very much agree with the R.W. Grand Master's arguments for change presented in Towanda, PA yesterday evening. Some news releases and regular magazine ads would really help our effort. Also, it would help mitigate the strange looks one gets when one asks an inactive Mason if he would like to join. The inactive Mason not being informed of the rule change etc.

To my brethren in PA. I visited Pennsylvania several years ago and also the Grand Lodge. It was great. In August I hope to take my wife to the Grand Lodge Building when we go to A Day at the USMA at West Point NY Where our youngest is a New Cadet.Being from Texas and a PM the tour guide asked me to give examples of Texas Masonry as he spoke on PA Masonry mainly to see if there were many differences and it appears we are very similar even with the monthly magazines. Hello, I am posting to say that my tour of the Mason's Grand Temple on Broad street has been in the back of my mind since I took the tour 3 years ago with my girlfriend. At the time I spoke with the gentleman that was our tour guide about possible becoming a Freemason. I still have an interest in becoming a mason. I can't say however that I presently and personally know someone that is a mason. My gf's uncle who passed away two years ago, he was a mason from an England Lodge as he was English and even though I had only met the man a few times in that short period of time, never has someone left such a deep and awe inspiring impression in me up till this point in my life. I am currently residing in Hazleton, PA but plan to move back to Philadelphia eventually just not sure when due to the current economic situation.

I never came across a Freemason face to face and talked about joining, i like the fact of being man together under one idea, i also love the fact that you guys want all your members to keep there faith in what ever they beleave in in before joining, so i could get any info on how to join, it would mean alot. thanks for taking the time to read my comment. Thanks again!

Hi there, I have in my possession a mason's ring that is quite stunning. My mom found it in my grandmothers jewery after she passed away, which was about 15 years ago. We believe my grandmother found the ring in Chester PA about 10 to 15 years before that if not more. My mom tried years ago to see if she could find the rightful owner but gave up. We are going to try again. We believe it was lost in the Chester area since that's where she found it. I know it's like we are looking for a needle in a haystack. But the ring is quite beautiful, and unusal looking. If anyone knows of any information that can reunite the owner or the family of the owner with the ring please email me. We do not want anything in return. I was reading how important the rings are to the members and believe in good karma. Thanks for any help with this in advance. Have a great day. Stacey

Can you share any infromation about him and his Masonic history? I Greet you Brethren, If you see a man who quietly and modestly moves in the sphere of his life; who, without blemish, fulfills his duty as a man, a subject, a husband and a father; who is pious without hypocrisy, benevolent without ostentation, and aids his fellowman without self-interest; whose heart beats warm for friendship, whose serene mind is open for licensed pleasures, who in vicissitudes does not despair, nor in fortune will be presumptuous, and who will be resolute in the hour of danger; The man who is free from superstition and free from infidelity; who in nature sees the finger of the Eternal Master; who feels and adores the higher destination of man; to whom faith, hope and charity are not mere words without any meaning; to whom property, nay even life, is not too dear for the protection of innocence and virtue, and for the defense of truth; The man who towards himself is a severe judge, but who is tolerant with the debilities of his neighbor; who endeavors to oppose errors without arrogance, and to promote intelligence without impatience; who properly understands how to estimate and employ his means; who honors virtue though it may be in the most humble garment, and who does not favor vice though it be clad in purple; and who administers justice to merit whether dwelling in palaces or cottages. The man who, without courting applause, is loved by all noble-minded men, respected by his superiors and revered by his subordinates; the man who never proclaims what he has done, can do, or will do, but where need is will lay hold with dispassionate courage, circumspect resolution, indefatigable exertion and a rare power of mind, and who will not cease until he has accomplished his work, and then, without pretension, will retire into the multitude because he did the good act, not for himself, but for the cause of good! If you, my Brethren meet such a man, you will see the personification of brotherly love, relief and truth; and you will have found the ideal of a Freemason.

I have always been curious about Mason's.I have recently become disabled and have a lot of time on my hands.I choose to make the best of that time by learning. My father n law was a freemason.I didn't address the issue Mason's with him but I do know he was a fine man.His name was Walter Matt Mathis. He was retired Coast Guard who traveled quite a bit so I don't know wat lodge he was from.He was well respected in our comunity of Bayou Lourse,La. Thank you and God Bless Brian J Landry

I really enjoy the website. I took a virtual tour of Grand Lodge and now I would like to see it with my own eyes. I am very serious about looking into joining a lodge.

When I was born my Grandfather was a Mason. My Grandmother was in the Eastern Star and was a Grand Matron. My Father taught the Rainbow Girls drill and ceremony. Now, at 55, I'm about to enter my Apprentice with Pennsylvania Masonic Blue Lodge Perseverance Lodge 21. Well, it is better late than never.

I am a past Rainbow Girl (state officer) and a current member (for the past 33 years) of the Order of Eastern Star (past Worthy Matron). I believe in our orders and I thank the Masons for all they do.
