An inspiring biographical monograph was written and published by Robert L. Engel, Armstrong Lodge No. 239, Freeport, as a tribute to the late Bro. William Boling Meredith (1839-1924) of Kittanning, a financier, businessman, public servant, State Senator, military veteran, and lifelong dedicated Mason. Bro. Meredith posted outstanding records of service to York Rite Masonry as Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Holy Arch Chapter of Pennsylvania in 1907 and 1908 and to the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania as a District Deputy Grand Master for 51 years, from 1873 until his death in 1924. Engel served as Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Holy Arch Chapter of Pennsylvania in 1993 and 1994 and is serving as an elected member of the Committee on the Masonic Homes of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania.)
