William Baily, D.D.G.M., 29th Masonic District (second from left) presented Ryan J. Thomas (center), a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School, with one of three Law Enforcement Scholarships awarded this year by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. He will receive $10,000 over four years while attending Shippensburg University to study criminal justice. He is the son of Robin S. Thomas (left) and Mary Thomas and grandson of Dennis Thomas (second from right). Both are members of Waynesburg Lodge No. 153. At right is his uncle, Richard Thomas, Dietrick Lamade Lodge No. 755, Williamsport.
Ryan Thomas has attended the Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet, is an instructor in C.P.R. and first aid, is E.M.T. certified, a volunteer fireman in Waynesburg, and active in numerous community endeavors.
The Law Enforcement Scholarship program was developed and implemented by R.W. Grand Master James L. Ernette, a retired Pennsylvania State Police Trooper, to recognize and help young men and women whose goals are to serve others and keep their communities safe. |
