At the Masonic Homes, quality of life is first priority. "Serving satisfied residents is our business," says Joseph E. Murphy, Executive Director/ CEO. "That's why we continue to renovate our facilities and update our equipment. We believe our residents deserve the very best, and it is our privilege to serve them in their home. Right now, the Masonic Health Care Center has immediate accommodations available, and we look forward to serving you or a loved one."

The Masonic Health Care Center is licensed to provide nursing accommodations for 453 residents and provides outpatient, physician, and ancillary services to residents throughout the campus. Within the Masonic Health Care Center, a continuum of medical health care services are offered, including: podiatry, radiology, cardiology, laboratory, pharmacy, dentistry, ophthalmology, optometry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dermatology, urology, audiology, and mental health services. The Lafayette Special Care Unit provides quality, state-of-the-art care services designed for residents living their lives with dementia. Individuals who require complex medical management following a hospital stay can receive subacute care on the Renaissance Unit, and return home after rehabilitation.

Daily therapeutic recreation activities are offered and implemented by a staff of certified personnel. The Recreation Services Department believes that quality of life is an enduring human need. How an individual defines enjoyment is a never-ending catalyst for growth, self-definition, and dignity. Thus, therapeutic recreation programs are offered on resident care units and in the Recreation Area and Assembly Room of the Masonic Health Care Center. Some program examples are: aquatic therapy, bowling, ceramics, fishing, pet therapy, religious programs, seasonal crafts, shopping trips, and socials.

A full complement of registered nurses, licenced practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants assist the physician staff in the provision of round-the-clock care. Dietary services, housekeeping, social services, pastoral care services, and support staff create an environment that enhances the well-being of each resident. To make all residents feel more comfortable, every resident room is designed to feel like home.
