Not many can say that they have been on the staff of the Grand Lodge for 36 years; but Linda Herbert can!

Those 36 years of dedicated service were specially recognized on Aug. 20 when Grand Master James L. Ernette presented Linda with a crystal bowl. Linda began her career at the Masonic Temple, Philadelphia, in June 1962 working for the late Past Grand Secretary, Ashby B. Paul. In 1974, she became Administrative Assistant to then ­ Superintendent of the Temple, William O. Vogt. Today, she serves as the Administrative Assistant to Superintendent Daniel J. Hinds.

Not only is Linda supportive of Freemasonry through her career at the Grand Lodge, she also has served in many leadership capacities of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of Rainbow for Girls. She is a Past District Deputy and Past Grand Adah of the Grand Chapter of the Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star and Past Matron and current Secretary of Eastern Star Chapter No. 428.
