Three hundred and fifty-two golfers participated in the Grand Master's three successful Charity Golf Tournaments held across the state on Aug. 31, Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 to benefit the Masonic Homes and the Masonic Eastern Star Homes. There were 98 participants at Lulu Country Club; 132 at Hershey Country Club; and 120 at Latrobe Country Club.

Grand Master James L. Ernette attended all of the evening banquets and awards programs and expressed thanks to participants and the support of the generous sponsors, especially SmithBarney, the primary sponsor for all three of the tournaments. In addition, there were major sponsors of amenities, such as luncheon, dinner, hole-in-one contests, and registration, and general sponsors of the tees. The Grand Master relayed the appreciation of Grand Lodge, the three Masonic Homes, and, especially, the residents who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the charity.
