Brothers and Sons are Made Brothers

On June 14, 2004, at a Stated Meeting of University Lodge No. 51, W.M. Allan W. Stitzer, P.M. conferred the three degrees of Freemasonry upon his two sons, Allan W. and B. Jordan Stitzer in Ionic Hall of the Masonic Temple. Their uncles, J. David Stitzer, P.M. and Arthur B. Stitzer, III, P.M., in the stations of Senior and Junior Wardens. The Guides were Bros. Harold Lampe, III, P.M. and Jeffry A. Lobb.

Freemasonry is a tradition in the Stitzer family. Allan Jr. and his brother Jordan are fourth generation Masons. Their grandfather served as DDGM for eight years and before that, as W.M. of Lodge No. 51 in 1958. During that year, the Masters of District A forged life-long relationships and it was that group as Past Masters who conferred all three degrees on the new Masons' father, Allan and his brothers. Allan, serving Lodge No. 51 as Worshipful Master in 1973, was the youngest Worshipful Master in the history of University Lodge.

The new Brethren are both attending Lehigh University. It is hoped that after graduation they will follow their ancestors in serving University Lodge No. 51.
