New Educational Talks Booklet Ready; Wardens Seminars Planned for 2003 Furthering the Grand Master's vision of "H.O.P.E. Helping Others Pursue Excellence" for Freemasonry across our Commonwealth, the Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Education has prepared a new booklet of ready-to-use topics for educational talks in the lodges. It is ready for distribution. Also, many of the current educational booklets and pamphlets have been updated and are available to assist the members in their never-ending quest for light. "The better our membership is educated, the better our beloved Fraternity will thrive and prosper in the future," said Edward O. Weisser, R.W.P.G.M., Chairman of the Committee. Brethren are urged to contact their lodge Education Committee and District Education Chairman for more information on available topics. The attendance figures and evaluations from this year's Junior and Senior Warden Training Workshops are very encouraging. By taking the workshops "on the road" to the brethren in their home areas, the committee was able to reach more of our future officers. The goal was to help prepare upcoming worshipful masters to shape the future of their lodges. Based on evaluations, it appears that the committee succeeded. Materials and methods used in the workshops are being fine tuned based largely on the feedback and comments from this year's workshops. Plans already are underway for next year's workshops. Again, there are plans to bring them to each region of the Commonwealth to afford the brethren the maximum opportunity to attend. When plans are finalized, the lodges will be notified. If you were unable to attend one of this year's sessions, or are now in a position to move through the elected chairs, ask your lodge Education Chairman to keep you informed about next year's sessions. They will be sessions that you won't want to miss! |
