Masonic Foundation for Children Awards Scholarships

The Pennsylvania Masonic Foundation for Children has announced the awarding of seven Carl W. Stenberg, Jr. Scholarships for the school year and two Grand Master's Law Enforcement Scholarships for up to four years.

Stenberg Scholarships

These recipients were awarded checks for $1,000 each as the first installments on up to four years of support. These students have successfully completed the Student Assistance Program and were recommended by his or her school team. They were selected from 20 finalists among more than 100 applicants. Since the fund was established in 1993, a total of 54 scholarships have been awarded.

Law Enforcement Scholarships

Each of the recipients of the Grand Master's Law Enforcement Scholarship will receive $2,500 a year for up to four years. They are: Nicole R. Mark, Liverpool, PA, who will attend Bloomsburg University; and Ray M. Rothermel, Mt. Carmel, who will attend Edinboro University. These students will pursue a career in law enforcement and must maintain a 2.5 grade point average while in college.

Since their inception, these scholarships have helped numerous students achieve their educational goals. The Masons of Pennsylvania should be proud to be a part of the success of the Children's Foundation and these great students.
