A record 12 scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded at the 37th annual Scholarship Banquet of the American Serbian Eastern Rite Brothers (A.S.E.R.B.) June 16 at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton, WV. To date, A.S.E.R.B. has awarded 191 scholarships totaling $134,350.

Recipients of the awards, their hometowns, and the respective universities or colleges that they planned to attend are: Ian Anastas, West Mifflin, Edinboro University; Autumn Drakulic, Trafford, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown; Marija Jankovic, Hermitage, Slippery Rock University; Bogdan Maksimovic, Weirton, WV, Dominican College; Lauren Mrkal, Moon Twp., University of Pittsburgh.; Maja Nisic, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania State University; Brian Radakovich, Steubenville, OH, Youngstown State University; Matthew Ridjaneck, Center Twp., College of William and Mary; Zachary Sietz, Johnstown, Lock Haven University; Kristina Springborn, Monroeville, Washington and Jefferson College; Ashley Taylor, Aliquippa, College of Wooster; and Gabriel Trbovich, Pittsburgh, West Virginia University.
