History was made at Warren Lodge No. 240 in the 15th Masonic District on the evening of April 13, 2005 when Brother A. Ralph Taylor, Past District Deputy Grand Master, returned to visit his home Lodge in Montrose, and to confer a Master Mason's Degree on Brother Jan Bogaard Quackenbush.

Brother Taylor conferred his first Master Mason's Degree in 1948, but that evening marked his 125th conferral.

In honor of the momentous event, over forty of his Masonic brethren were present at the meeting, including 12 brethren who had received their Master Mason's Degree from Brother Taylor. To quote the Worshipful Master, Brother Lenthel C. Drachler, "having 12 brethren here means that 113 Brethren were missing."

Brother Taylor, who is 92 years old, served as District Deputy Grand Master of the 15th Masonic District from 1972 until 1980. For the past 13 years, he has resided at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
