The Benefits are Waiting for Young Men in Pennsylvania!
On Sunday, April 29, Lycoming Chapter, Order of DeMolay,
welcomed its first eight members during induction ceremonies
held in Williamsport, marking the return of DeMolay to the northcentral
region of Pennsylvania for the first time in seven years. The
induction was planned by the Pennsylvania DeMolay State
Officers and included participants from Pittsburgh,
Butler, New Castle, Scranton, Philadelphia,
Reading, Harrisburg and Elizabethtown, with
additional help from some DeMolay college
students in Williamsport.
The Advisory Council of Lycoming Chapter is comprised of Masons from the 18th Masonic District headed by Bro. Wilmer Hall, Advisory Council Chairman; Bro. Sam Aungst, Chapter Advisor; and Bro. Kenneth McClintock, District Deputy Grand Master for District 18. Bro. Ronald A. Aungst, Sr., R.W. Grand Master, was a special guest of the day. He warmly welcomed the new members and congratulated the DeMolay State Officers on the degree conferrals.
On Saturday, Dec. 1, Grand Master Aungst will again join many of these young men when Pennsylvania DeMolay hosts him for a new member Induction Class held in his honor. The Grand Master's Class will be held at the Masonic Conference Center - Patton Campus in Elizabethtown.
The Grand Master's Class provides an outstanding opportunity for young men from all across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to join the DeMolay organization - and this is an invitation to encourage your son, brother, grandson, nephew or neighbor to become a part of the best fraternal organization that exists for young men between the ages of 12 and 21 years.
Many men become Masons for the opportunity to bond with a fraternity of men who share the same moral standards, benevolent causes and civic and social awareness. Most communities in Pennsylvania have at least one lodge where these members can attend and be active.
The DeMolay experience offers young men a similar opportunity, with DeMolay chapters meeting in 23 communities in Pennsylvania. DeMolay offers benefits and opportunities that all young men can enjoy, including the annual Pennsylvania DeMolay Convention and the world-recognized PA DeMolay Key Man Conference; visitation to DeMolay chapters; attendance at social activities like dances, paint ball outings and brotherhood athletic tournaments; participation in community and Masonic service projects; eligibility for DeMolay scholarships; and of course, résumé-building experiences.
If you know a young man between the ages of 12 and 21 who would benefit from membership in DeMolay, please encourage him to join at this special class honoring the Grand Master. Contact Executive Secretary Dave Berry at (800) 266-8424, ext. 4 or e-mail him.
