On May 31, The D. Carl Peet Memorial Masonic Scholarship was awarded to eight seniors at Western Wayne High School's Senior Awards Night Program.

These scholarships are given in memory of our late Bro. D. Carl Peet, who was a Past Master of Salem Lodge No. 330 and a Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 14th Masonic District. Bro. Peet had spent 35 years in the Western Wayne School District as a teacher and administrator, and his widow, Jane, maintains an active role with the lodges and this scholarship program.

Working with the members of Salem Lodge No. 330 and Waymart Lodge No. 542, Mrs. Peet recognizes the importance of educating our youth, having herself taught in the district until her recent retirement.

The officers and members of the lodges are very appreciative of her continued interest in the fraternity and the impact we have on our youth and community in general.
