On April 2, Washington Lodge No. 164 presented a check for $1,850 to Trooper and Bro. Jeffrey Jones, a member of Stephen Bayard Lodge No. 526, Elizabeth, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on June 19, 2000. Bro. Jones, of the Pennsylvania State Police station at Uniontown, was on his way to work when he was hit by an individual driving under the influence of alcohol. He suffered a severe injury when his head struck the wheel of the vehicle. He spent several weeks at Harmerville Rehabilitation Center and thereafter has continued to recover at home.
