Mount Lebanon Lodge No. 226 and Mount Olivet Lodge No.704, in cooperation with the American Heart Association, conducted a fund-raiser they called "Operation Jump Start" at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center on April 28. The goal was to raise funds to purchase defibrillators to be placed in the area. Clowns, sky divers, booths, and many other events and attractions occurred during the day. A feature of the event was a display booth of the Pennsylvania Masonic Foundation for Children staffed by Bro. Daniel Martin who distributed educational information and souvenirs designed to combat drug and alcohol abuse among children. In the evening, Joseph W. Dows, D.D.G.M., 60th Masonic District, joined the officers and members of the lodges in hosting a fund-raising banquet.
