For the second year, officers and members of lodges in the 11th Masonic District (Jeffrey S. Hentz, D.D.G.M.) and the 60th Masonic District (Joseph W. Dows, D.D.G.M.) joined together to staff an information display booth in Strawberry Mall, Harrisburg, for the Pennsylvania Masonic Foundation for Children that attracted more than 7,000 visitors. Educational information and souvenirs designed to combat drug and alcohol abuse among children were distributed; but again this year an attraction was the popcorn machine loaned and operated by Loretta Chubb, sister to D.D.G.M Dows. Brethren and ladies who staffed the display were: from Williamson Lodge No. 307, Womelsdorf, Jean Moyer; from Pine Grove Lodge No. 409, David Ginder; from Ashlar Lodge No. 570, Lykens, Paul Walker and Donald Schwalm; from Brownstone Lodge No. 666, Hershey, Alfred Kaplin and Karl Schill; from Abraham C. Treichler Lodge No. 682, Elizabethtown, Dayton Holmes; from Mount Olivet Lodge No. 704, Lebanon, Donald Ryland and Frank August; and from Spring Creek Lodge No. 802, Hershey, Gene Longenecker. |
