Attendees enjoyed hors d'oeuvres prior to dinner in the atrium of the Freemasons Cultural Center. The Seventh Annual Donor Recognition Celebration was held on June 1 in the Brossman Ballroom of the Freemasons Cultural Center at the Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown. The special evening was planned to honor the benefactors whose financial support to the Masonic Homes or other Masonic Charities of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania during 2000 totaled $500 or more. More than 250 people attended the celebration. Of special interest during the evening was the unveiling of the picture of Bro. Jay G. Brossman, displayed outside the new Brossman Ballroom, named in his honor for his continual support of the Masonic Homes. R.W. Grand Master Robert L. Dluge, Jr. recognized Bro. Brossman on behalf of the Committee on Masonic Homes by presenting him with a Grand Master's blue team jacket. The evening began with a reception and tours of the new Freemasons Cultural Center. A testimonial was shared by Bro. Henry A. Clay, retirement living resident at the Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown. Remarks were given by Grand Master Dluge; Bro. Joseph E. Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of the Masonic Homes; and Bro. Alvin H. Blitz, Chief Director of Gift Planning for the Masonic Charities. Following the dinner, Masonic Homes residents joined the group to enjoy entertainment by Brenda Byers and the Fred Bevon showband.
