Bro. and Dr. F. William Sunderman took a week from work in March to go to Washington to be recognized as the "Oldest U.S. Worker." He is over 100 - born Oct. 23, 1898 - and works every day at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia editing the medical journal he founded 30 years ago. He is widely known as a physician, author, teacher, photographer, editor, scientist, and musician. He says, "I have too many interests to retire." He still plays his 17th century Stradivarius violin every evening and on his 100th birthday performed a solo at his alma mater, Gettysburg College. He has played in Carnegie Hall. Bro. Sunderman was made a Mason-at-Sight by Earl F. Herold, R.W. Grand Master, on June 2, 1964, and affiliated with Thomas R. Patton Lodge No. 659, Philadelphia. |
