respi

respite cottageIn March 1998, the Masonic Homes opened a Respite Cottage to serve adults with special needs. The Respite Cottage accommodates up to eight adult guests diagnosed with mild to moderate retardation and/or other similar developmental challenges. Within the home-like atmosphere of the Masonic Homes, the program provides guests three nutritious meals a day, social and recreational activities, assistance with personal care, and access to medical care if needed.

The Respite Cottage provides a needed service to the community, offering quality, short-term respite services to caregivers, thereby enabling them to have time away from their responsibilities and enhance their quality of life. At the same time, it allows guests to enjoy fun and a relaxing vacation.
