On Dec. 5, 2010, 18 Masons from District 6 traveled to Abramson Center
for Jewish Life in North Wales, to perform a Masonic ceremony. A presentation
was made to Bro. M. Leonard Friedman, P.M., of a 70-year Service Emblem
of Gold. Bro. Friedman has been a member of Norristown Lodge No. 620,
since 1940. A certificate commemorating this Masonic maturity was received
from R.W. Grand Master Thomas K. Sturgeon and presented by David K.
Beaulieu, District Deputy Grand Master of District 6. Bro. Friedman's son,
Manny, family and friends were also in attendance. After the presentation,
Bro. Friedman, in his closing remarks, recited the blessing of the Priest from the
Ancient Temple, both in Hebrew and in English. Refreshments and fellowship
followed the presentation.
