Winter Picnic Includes Friend-to-Friend Session

At least 125 Members, their spouses and their children, friends, and neighbors enjoyed a "Picnic in the Winter" held by Ephrata Lodge No. 665 and Cloister Chapter No. 408, Order of The Eastern Star, on Saturday afternoon and evening, March 15, in the social hall of the Lodge. During the afternoon, there was a "Friend to Friend" Meeting in the Lodge room hosted by Terrence N. Sherk, W.M., and Robert S. Conway, D.D.G.M., 1st Masonic District, who is Past Master of Ephrata Lodge.

For the modest $5 fee for adults (children free) there was plenty of food, face-painting and table games for the youngsters, and the German band comprising members of the Rajah Shrine Concert Band providing lively foot-tapping music. At 6:30 p.m., there was an auction of donated items. Proceeds of the "Picnic in the Winter" were designated for donation to two local charities.
