Foundation Helps Educators Help Students At-Risk

pasapThe Pennsylvania Masonic Foundation for Children participated actively in the annual conference of The Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals (P.A.S.A.P.), in Pittsburgh on Mar. 16 to 18, by sponsoring 70 teachers from school districts across the state, addressing the more than 500 educators in attendance, staffing a display booth, and presenting a grant of $15,000. The conference updates the student assistance teams in current methods for helping students at risk and facilitates the sharing of information among the teams from throughout the Commonwealth. Bro. George W. Polnar, Valley Lodge No. 613, Turtle Creek, a member of the Board of the Foundation (pictured), told the conference about the Foundation and its numerous programs. Raymond G. Brown, Executive Director of the Foundation, presented the grant to the P.A.S.A.P. Executive Director of the Foundation.
