Pre-Age Qualified Retirement Living List Now Available at Elizabethtown and Sewickley!

Recently, the Committee on Masonic Homes approved the development of a new, pre-age qualified list for individuals to place their names on a priority list for retirement living at the Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown and the Masonic Village at Sewickley. If you are at least 55 years of age, the new list gives you the opportunity to plan, well in advance, your move to the accommodation of your choice in retirement living.

This change is in response to requests from individuals who, planning for their future retirement, were previously unable to place their names on the retirement living priority list at Elizabethtown.

An applicant for the pre-age qualified list is required to complete a priority application and include a check for $1,000 if their preference is a unit under the entrance fee plan, and $200 if their preference is a unit under the rental plan (rental plan available at Elizabethtown only). In accordance with the current procedure, those deposits will be refundable until an applicant applies and signs a resident agreement. The minimum age requirement for admission to retirement living at Elizabethtown and Sewickley will continue to be 65 (in the case of married couples, at least one must be age 65).

As more persons reach their retirement years in the United States, the Fraternity is certainly not an exception to the "aging or graying of America" phenomenon. Careful planning for the future is extremely important and the addition of the pre-age qualified list will enable those eligible individuals between ages 55 and 65 to plan now for their retirement.
