Earl T. Myers, Jr., Installed Supreme Tall Cedar

Earl T. Myers, Jr., P.M., Red Lion Lodge No. 649, was elected and installed as Supreme Tall Cedar of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America at the midwinter conference in Lancaster in January. Bro. Myers was installed by Bro. Harold A. Gross, York Lodge No. 266, Past Supreme Tall Cedar. Thomas W. Jackson, R.W. Past Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, was the keynote speaker for the three-day conference.

Bro. Myers served as Worshipful Master of Red Lion Lodge in 1986. He served as the Grand Tall Cedar of York Forest No. 30 in 1991, is a life member of the Tall Cedar Foundation, and was named Tall Cedar Trustee of the Year in 1995.

The Supreme Tall Cedar of North America is pictured with Rachel Lynn Markley of Springfield, OH, the Tall Cedar Goodwill Ambassador for 2002. The outstanding fifth grade student with a 4.0 grade point average was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at the age of one. Financial support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association is the Tall Cedars' major charitable effort, having contributed more than $14 million since 1951 to the Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon.

divJay G. Brossman, a member of Ephrata Lodge No. 665 for 45 years and now a resident of Frisco, CO, is serving as Worshipful Master of Breckenridge Lodge in Colorado, where he holds dual membership. The Summit Daily News of Frisco reported his installation as Master of the Lodge in a feature article that was headlined, "Summit County's senior skiing sensation racks up the days." As of Jan. 24, Bro. Brossman, who is "70-something" and had a five-way bypass a dozen years ago, had skied 100 days this season and has set his sights on 250 days by the end of the season.

divWhen Dustin James Davis was raised recently, he became the third generation of his family to be Freemasons in Ligonier Lodge No. 331. James Patterson Davis, Sr., has been the treasurer of Ligonier Lodge for six years, and James Patterson Davis, Jr. is a past master and active in the youth group.
