Dr. Glenys A. Waldman, the Librarian of the Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania, has been elected Secretary of the Masonic Library and Museum Association, an international organization whose mission is "to assist and support, through education, facilitation of communication, coordination of effort, and other means, those individuals charged with the collection, management, and preservation of the Masonic heritage."

Dr. Waldman joined the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania Library and Museum staff at the Masonic Temple in 1987 after working for the Historical Society of Pennsylvania for ten years. She holds her doctorate degree in German from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Library Science degree from Drexel University.

The Association has nearly 100 members representing nations worldwide. The annual meeting, hosted by a member or institution, usually a Grand Lodge or a Scottish Rite Valley, is held in a different city each October. Institutions as well as individuals may join the organization: the only requirement is an interest in the work of Masonic libraries and museums. The Association web site can be viewed at http://www.bessel.org/mlma.htm.
