Blood and Organ Donor Poster Contest Announced

The Masonic Blood Bank and Organ Donor Committee announced the annual Poster Contest to promote blood and organ donor awareness and distributed the rules and requirements among the four youth groups affiliated with Masonry.

The contest is open to members of the Order of DeMolay, Rainbow for Girls, Job's Daughters, and Knights of Pythagoras. Each poster entered is to be 18" x 24" and produced as an individual's project. First prize in the contest is $300, second is $200, and third is $100. The first prize winner's poster will be reproduced and sent to all Masonic lodges and youth groups in Pennsylvania.

The poster is to promote blood and organ donor awareness and incorporate the Masonic symbol, the square and compasses, in the design. It may be produced in any media appropriate for a poster. Posters will be judged on artistic merit, creativity, originality, competence with the medium chosen, clarity of the message, and quality of lettering. Deadline for entry is Oct. 1.
