The Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown offers a continuum of care to simplify life. "Residential Living" is an area of the campus that many residents enter and have access to physicians and clinical services such as audiology, cardiology, dentistry, ophthalmology, pharmacy, laboratory, podiatry, and radiology. The area also provides the assurance of knowing that such amenities as housekeeping, personal laundry, transportation, activities and emergency response are available. "Assisted Living and Nursing Care" are health care services provided on a long-term basis as medical situations arise and the resident is no longer comfortable in the residential setting. Assisted living accommodations in the Freemasons Building and the Masonic Health Care Center encourage residents to live at their fullest potential; but provide some nursing services such as assistance with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and administration of medications. This area provides an environment of comfort, companionship, and security. Nursing care provides for 'round-the-clock care by physicians and nursing staff. Support staffs provide for such needs as social work, pastoral care, dietary assistance, housekeeping, laundry, security, and maintenance and create an environment that enhances the well-being of each resident. Within the Masonic Health Care Center, rehabilitation services in the Renaissance Unit are designed for residents who require subacute care after hospitalization with the goal of returning to their previous living area. "Specialized Units" are designed to offer care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other related dementia. Finally, continuum of care is reflected in the Masonic Homes' mission: "We are committed to providing for wellness of body, mind, and spirit through a continuum of care, and to providing each individual with the dignity and compassion necessary for human development." Consider the Masonic Homes as a place for continuum of care to simplify your life.
