Robert T. Addleman, Jr., D.D.G.M., 57th Masonic District, says that Freemasonry is a "Family Affair" in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh and he provided photos to prove it.
The photo at left is the Engleson family that shares the rather unusual (and very busy) distinction of having three members preside simultaneously over a lodge, a chapter, and an assembly. When John E. Engleson, P.M., was serving as Worshipful Master of Whitehall Lodge No. 794, Pleasant Hills, his daughter, Jennifer (center) was Worthy Advisor of White Win Hill Assembly No. 87, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, and his wife, Mary, was Worthy Matron of Silver Chalice Chapter No. 530, Order of The Eastern Star. The picture was taken at Jennifer's installation.
In the photo at right, Louis F. Heinz, Jr., P.M. (left) passes the gavel to his son, Douglas L. Heinz. The younger Bro. Heinz followed his dad in the East at William D. McIlroy Lodge No. 758, Pittsburgh. They are the first father and son combination to serve as Worshipful Master in the 52-year history of the lodge.
