The Board of Directors of The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania approved a program intended to enhance its endowment fund and provide financial support well into the 21st century and beyond. "Friends of The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania," invite lodges, other Masonic and Masonically related organizations, and individuals to make contributions in various levels of support. The "Acacia Circle" is a level of support designed for those lodges and other related Masonic organizations that desire to honor an outstanding member in the Family of Freemasonry by making a $250 contribution on that person's behalf. Doing so enters that person into the Acacia Circle of The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania. That person will receive a Certificate of Appreciation suitable for framing, an invitation to the Friends Reception, and a Friends lapel pin. The nominating Masonic body will receive a specially designed commemorative plaque suitable for displaying at the lodge or other meeting place. With each nomination, The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania also will provide a complimentary engraved nameplate of the honoree to place on the plaque. Categories of recognition for individual contributing members are: Pillar for contributing $1,000 or more. That person will receive a Certificate of Appreciation, invitation to the Friends Reception, a framed commemorative print, a memento, and a Friends lapel pin. Benefactor for contributing $500 or more. That person will receive a Certificate of Appreciation, invitation to the Friends Reception, a commemorative print, a memento, and a Friends lapel pin. Fellow for contributing $100 or more. That person will receive a Certificate of Appreciation, invitation to the Friends Reception, and a Friends lapel pin. Contributor for contributing $30 or more. McCarty, Director of The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania, said, "Whether you are recognizing a member of your lodge, becoming an individual contributor, or honoring a deceased brother, you are invited to become a Friend of The Masonic Library and Museum of Pennsylvania by contributing to this worthwhile Masonic charity."
