Barry R. Stocker, Phillipsburg, NJ, who was recently installed as the Supreme Tall Cedar, greets seven-year old Shane R. Burcaw, the Tall Cedar Goodwill Ambassador for 2000. Since 1951, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon have provided financial support to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, contributing more than $12-million to the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.

Shane, the son of Susan and Jonathan Burcaw, Bethlehem, PA, was diagnosed in 1993 with spinal muscular atrophy. The second-grader is a typical boy who enjoys computers and video games, chocolate peanut butter ice cream, singing, playing army, bugs, and driving his wheel chair "really fast." He also is the local Muscular Dystrophy Association Ambassador.

Bro. Stocker, Warren Lodge No. 13, Belvedere, NJ, was installed as Supreme Tall Cedar in Atlantic City in January by Edgar N. Peppler, M.W. Past Grand Master of New Jersey and Past President of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association.
