sacsmallFifty-four years after he served in the East of Edenburg Lodge No. 550, Jerry A. Cobler, Sr., P.M., (left) installed his son , Jerry A. Cobler, Jr., as Worshipful Master. Brethren of Edenburg Lodge recall that 1946, when the elder Bro. Cobler was Worshipful Master, was a record year. There were 34 candidates resulting in extra meetings for degree work not only on week nights, but also on Saturdays.

sacsmallThrough the years, World War II veteran Martin F. Schaffer, a member of Barger Lodge No. 333, Allentown, has collected tons of clothing, videotapes, games, puzzles, books, and magazines contributed through veteran, civic, and fraternal organizations, including his Masonic lodge. He has spent countless hours and thousands of miles on the road delivering the collections to the Veterans Centers in Hollidaysburg, Wilkes-Barre, Lebanon, Coatesville, and Spring City, and to several homes for the elderly. Bro. Schaffer heads up the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the World War II Submarine Veterans.

sacsmallGeorge Joseph McMahon was mighty proud when the District Deputy Grand Master and the Worshipful Master and Secretary of Lodge No.45, Pittsburgh, came to his home in the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople to present him with a Grand Lodge 75-year membership certificate. Bro. McMahon sported a cap proclaiming his age, "103," for the presentation by David S. Kielman, D.D.G.M., 55th Masonic District (second from left) and Donald E. Sauer, W.M. (right), accompanied by Norman R. Arthurs, P.M., Secretary (left).
