The Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown hosted its second annual flower show on Mar. 6 and 7 in the Masonic Health Care Center Assembly Room. The flower show was free and open to the public during the evening of Mar. 6.
Entitled "Springtime Stroll," the show featured beautiful horticultural arrangements by the Masonic Homes' Landscape/ Greenhouse Department, as well as exhibits: Country Haus, Hole in Hand Butterfly Farm, the Horticulture Department of the Brownstown Campus of the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, and Mueller's Flower Shop, were among others.
Hanselman Landscaping and Hively Farm and Nursery donated several plants for use in the flower show.
The idea for the Masonic Homes to host its own flower show began last year when a number of residents expressed an interest in attending the Philadelphia Flower Show. When this was not possible, the Recreation Services Department teamed up with the Landscape/Greenhouse Department to present Masonic Homes' own display. |
