Thomas W. Jackson, R.W. Grand SecretaryTwice during the concluding months of 1998, Thomas W. Jackson, R.W. Grand Secretary, was honored for his services to Freemasonry and humanity.

During the Quarterly Communication of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, Richard R. Schanda, M.W. Grand Master of New Hampshire, presented the Jeremy Ladd Cross to Bro. Jackson (pictured in his breast pocket). Named for one of the most influential writers and ritualists of early America, the medal is the highest honor that the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire can confer. It was presented to Bro. Jackson for his outstanding and significant contributions to Freemasonry throughout the world and to humanity.

On Oct. 25, Bro. Jackson was awarded the Legion of Honor Bronze Medallion by the Chapel of the Four Chaplains (the throat medallion pictured). It is the highest recognition presented by that organization which was established to honor the four chaplains who sacrificed their lives when they voluntarily gave up their life vests to four seamen on the torpedoed USS Dorchester.
