St. John's Lodge No. 233, Jenkins Twp., honored three members (front, l-r), James V. Sweeney, Jr., Gerald Riviello, and Joseph J. Barrett, for their bravery in saving the life of another brother, Benjamin Accardi (rear, right), Chaplain. Bro. Accardi, a contractor, was building a garage when a gas line exploded and he was thrown from his equipment. The three came to his rescue while others fled for safety. Framed citations were presented to the three by Alfred W. Kotula, Sr. (front, right), D.D.G.M., 59th Masonic District, and the elected officers of St. John's (rear, l-r): Gerald N. Venetz, W.M.; Norman J. Colwell, J.W; and Angelo A. Salerno, S.W.
