The Gold Book & Philathropic Society
Brethren: If you read my last article in the Freemason, I asked you to make arrangements to visit our Grand Lodge with other brothers or friends to see or re-aquaint yourself with Grand Lodge and know why it is so important for you to have your name in the Gold Book or in the Philanthropic Society.
Your account is open, all you have to do is send your first check, in any amount, and it will start you on your way. We are asking you to be a partner with us in Grand Lodge as so many have done in the past.
We are having great success with both the Gold Book and Philanthropic Societies. This is why we continue to solicit donations from Masonic Lodges. Remember your commitment to Past Grand Master Marvin Cunningham. I am waiting to hear from you with your check. If you forgot what your commitment was, please contact your secretary.
I am sure that each member truly loves attending Grand Lodge and always remarks to one another about its significance as an architectural wonder in Philadelphia and through out the world. Your gift to the Masonic Temple is a meaningful way which will have a lasting impact on the Masonic Fraternity and world community. If you wish, you may designate your donation in memory or honor of someone special to you. If it is in the amount of $500, their name will be placed in the Gold Book and if it is in the amount of $250,000 their name will be entered in the Philanthropic book.
This paragraph is for the new Brethren of this year or last year who have not had the opportunity to visit Grand Lodge. You should make it a priority with the Brethren who signed your petition to visit the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia as it is a true wonder of the Masonic World.
