LATE NEWS As soon as the word was out about the creation of the Gold Book Society, Philadelphia-Potter Lodge No. 72 was first on the list of Lodges to become a member by contributing $500. (Note in the "Preserving Our Heritage" article here that Lodge No. 72 was directly involved in the construction of the Masonic Temple in the late 1860s.) Also, on behalf of Pennsylvania DeMolay, State Master Councilor Gregory G. Deal presented R.W. Grand Master Cunningham with a check for $500 for the Gold Book Society for the Preservation of the Masonic Temple. Below is more information about the Gold Book Society and the Philanthropic Society. For a printable version (PDF) of this brochure click here. |
