Thirty-four more D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) officers were graduated from the Masonic Conference Center-Patton Campus on Oct. 26, raising the total number of police officers trained through the support of the Pennsylvania Masonic Foundation for Children to more than 800. Numerous classes are planned at the Patton Campus for 2002 including middle school mentor training, D.A.R.E. training, and national D.A.R.E. training. The support of Pennsylvania Masons makes it possible for more communities, especially smaller ones, across the Commonwealth to have this vital program taught in their schools. The conference center gives Pennsylvania law enforcement the most modern training facilities for D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training) on the East Coast. |
